Established in 1968 as the Missouri Association of Private Employment Agencies, the organization has been serving the industry for over 55 years. Throughout the years, we have adapted our name to better reflect the evolving needs of its members and clients. In 2008, the name changed to the Missouri & Kansas Search and Staffing Association to embrace a broader regional identity and incorporate both staffing and direct-hire services with renewed energy.

Mission Statement
The Missouri & Kansas Search and Staffing Association actively promotes the interests of its members by engaging in legal and legislative advocacy, public relations, education, and establishing high standards of ethical conduct.
In legislative advocacy, we represent the staffing industry, exerting collective influence in matters of mutual concern and advocating for beneficial legislation. Through public relations efforts, our organization works to raise every member’s visibility among employer clients and the public, presenting MKSSA as a reliable source of information and enhancing the understanding of the staffing professional's role.
We actively provide up-to-date education and accreditation opportunities tailored to the needs of its members. Furthermore, MKSSA is committed to promoting and maintaining high standards of service and business integrity by disseminating, applying, and enforcing our Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Responsibility.
